Solo Rhythmic Gymnastics provides participants with the opportunity to engage in the beautiful sport of Rhythmic gymnastics at a competitive level. Competitive Rhythmic Gymnastics Program is challenging, exciting and rewarding, both physically and mentally. Our goal is to develop a positive fitness experience that will assist in the development of healthy, happy and confident children. By teaching proper technique we focus on the development of correct body alignment and equal work of the left and right sides of the body, and, when using the apparatus, equal work with left and right hands. Besides maintaining physical health, our program directs toward building leadership skills, self-expression, self control and positive self esteem.
Gymnasts of age 6 and older can join the team by coach’s invitation. Competitive levels 3 -8 follow the guidelines of USA Gymnastics Junior Olympic Program. Gymnasts will prepare and participate in Invitational, State, Regional and National competitions.
Readiness to compete depends on regular attendance, effort, discipline and ability to work independently.
Competitive Team members are required to purchase a competition attire and pieces of apparatus that conform to USA Gymnastics/FIG specifications.
Some competitions will be held out of state. It is a parent/guardian’s responsibility to bring their child to the competitions venue and cover all traveling and lodging expenses.
Rhythmic USA Gymnastics competitive season begins in January and ends in May-June.
